UPDATE: WHILE WE STRONGLY BELIEVE IN EARTH DAY AND THE IMPORTANCE OF URGENT CLIMATE ACTION, KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE AND HEALTHY FROM CORONAVIRUS AND LIMITING LARGE PUBLIC GATHERINGS TO FLATTEN THE CURVE AND LIMIT SOCIAL SPREAD IS A TOP PRIORITY FOR US AND THE ORGANIZERS AND ORGANIZATIONS HOSTING. WE ASK YOU PLEASE USE CAUTION, CONTINUE SOCIAL DISTANCING, AND JOIN #CLIMATESTRIKEONLINE INSTEAD OF MARCHING. PLEASE STAY IN TOUCH FOR UPDATES. THANKS. READ OUR FULL STATEMENT HERE.

2020 is a critical year for climate action. As we approach the US elections and the consequences of climate change are becoming ever more clear and dire with each passing day, a new powerful wave of the climate movement has been swelling. Young people around the world have been rising up to defend our future, and have been going on strike — every week, all over the planet — for months.

On Wednesday, April 22 at the Riverfront Park Pavilion, 350 Spokane and friends will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day by holding a climate strike and rally calling for dramatic action in Spokane to address the climate crisis.
