Individuals from area businesses and the local community, including retirees and college students, are invited to commit an hour and half each week to tutor two kindergarten or first grade students, one-on-one, for 30-minutes each.

The tutor and student work on reading, writing, and skills development aligned to the student’s abilities and the current classroom curriculum

An option popular with busy professionals, is to form teams of up to four tutors, lessening the time commitment to once or twice per month.

The tutoring sessions take place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

This is a flexible activity that can be completed whenever you have enough free time.
