2020 Black Lives Matter March on Washington for Justice
Aug. 28, 2020, 10 a.m. - Aug. 28, 2020, 7 p.m. EDT
On the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's original March on Washington, the broader Black Lives Matter and #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd movement will hold a 2020 march and peaceful protest in Washington, DC on August 28th, 2020 at the Lincoln Memorial. We will march for justice, equality, anti-racism, justice for George Floyd, and so America and the entire world knows Black Lives Matter. One of the primary demands will be a Federal Policing Equality Act.
MLK's original March on Washington for civil rights was held on August 28, 1963, where Dr. King delivered his historic "I Have a Dream" speech and called for an end to racism. The time is now, and this is the year, to finally make that hope a reality.
Please RSVP to get reminders and check back for more information on date, time, march route, program, speakers, and other important information as this march is planned and details are finalized.
This march has been publicly endorsed by the family of George Floyd.
