Adults and children get together weekly, on usually on Thursday evenings at 6pm to create weekend care packages for kids struggling with food insecurity. Volunteers work together in assembly line fashion, placing non-perishable, healthy food items in bags. The work is always done before 7pm, with time left for a little bit of fun.

The care packages are delivered to neighborhood schools on Friday morning. Social workers distribute the care package to student who really need them.

During the month of April we will be meeting in the Coronado Neighborhood Garden. The dates are as follows:

  • Thursday, April 4, 2019 6pm-7pm
  • Thursday, April 11, 2019 6pm- 7pm
  • Wednesday April 17, 2019 6pm - 7pm (change in meeting night due to change in school schedule)
