Gallery Volunteer and Visitor Ambassadors
The Chinese Culture Center (CCC) is seeking volunteers to assist in engaging visitors in its contemporary art gallery! The Center is committed to giving voice to equality through sharing engaging experiences, creating dialogue through contemporary art. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers who can engage and educate the public about art exhibitions, programs, and about the Center.
Requirements: · Interest in or knowledge of contemporary visual art · Interest in engaging visitors on issues about visual culture, ethnic studies, and other topics · Outgoing and enthusiastic about CCC exhibitions and educational programming · Excellent interpersonal and communications skills · Duties include greeting visitors at the gallery, being on hand to answer visitor questions about the current exhibition or about Chinatown, leading small impromptu gallery tours, introducing other CCC activities to visitors. · 3-month commitment; minimum one six-hour shift per week (10-4pm) Tuesday - Saturday
