Golden Gate Park seeks volunteers to help with cleanup, vegetation management, and site improvements throughout the San Francisco shoreline of the Golden Gate National Parks. Projects include litter removal, weeding plants, vegetation pruning, painting, and other improvements.
Golden Gate Park's volunteer programs happen every second Friday of each month, 9am - noon. Volunteer should meet and gather at Ocean Beach, Stairwell #17 (directly across from the Beach Chalet).
Volunteers ages 10 and up are welcome, but any volunteers under the age of 18 must have signed approval from a parent or guardian.
Volunteers should wear outdoor work clothes that can get dirty, including long pants and closed-toe shoes. It's also recommended to bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.
This is a flexible activity that can be completed whenever you have enough free time.
