What

UPDATE: Unfortunately due to COVID-19 and public health & safety, GrowNYC has temporarily suspended its recycling programs. We're monitoring the situation and will update our information when collection resumes.

The average New Yorker tosses 46 pounds of clothing and other textiles in the trash each year. All told, NYC residents discard 193,000 tons of textiles every year, at a cost to taxpayers and our environment. But with your help, landfills are going on a diet.

Drop by the McCarren Park Greenmarket in Williamsburg any of our other NYC Greenmarket locations to donate your used clothing and other household items. This location is open Saturdays (8am-3pm).

We Accept clean and dry clothing, paired shoes, linens, handbags, belts, and other reusable textiles. No fabric rolls or scraps of any size, rugs, carpeting, pillows, comforters, or luggage. Your contribution to the program is tax deductible.

Note: In cases of severe weather, markets may close early or be cancelled.
