Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (ICA LA) is a contemporary art museum in Downtown Los Angeles. On Sunday, July 14th, the museum will be hosting an all ages event called "Open House" ICA LA presents Summer School - a new initiative of special exhibitions and programs designed for youth and family audiences. A visit to Summer School sparks the visitor’s imaginative creativity through an exploration of new forms of learning with art.Join us as we celebrate two new exhibitions: Hervé Tullet: Ideal Exhibition in the Project Room and Worldwide Orphans: Element of Play(r) in the Annex Gallery. Each of these presentations directly engages visitors with unique hands-on art-making and innovative educational theories around play.
Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks during the event, especially with working with visitors directly.

1. Greeting and welcoming visitors to the museum.
2. Guiding or way-finding the visitor to the exhibition(s)
3. Helping with questions or redirecting visitors to frontline team for any questions about ICA LA
4. Commit to weekends from July 14-Sept 8 (flexible on hours)
5. Promoting ICA LA summer school events to family, children, and all visitors
Note: Volunteers will be interacting with people from all ages
There will be a mandatory training session to go over any question volunteer might have and go over the event, responsibilities, and commitments. Communication with volunteers will take place via email and phone prior to the event.
