What

Volunteering is an excellent way to serve within our community. Essential to the successful operation of our company are our volunteers backing up our firefighters and rescuers in organization and administration within our company. Highly involved, our volunteers in administration support the daily operation of the company and its future success. We are seeking volunteers to lead and assist in many areas, including, but not limited to:

- Open House Chairs: Develops community education program and tracks budget, seeks and creates sponsor banners and requests county support
- Public Education Event Coordinators: Monitors events; and e-mail, responds to any requests for coverage, and manages schedule of public education events using Google Calendar
- Event planners: Develops events concepts and budget, and oversees overall plan, food, entertainment, activities, staffing, prizes, etc
-Interpreters: Interprets on calls, translates brochures, and assists with outreach
- Recruitment & Retention: Develops survey questions, produces reports and survey results, and conducts ongoing surveys of volunteers as well as exit surveys
-Website Developers/Administrators (design or content): Designs collateral materials as needed, responds to inquiries submitted via website, manage/resize picture/images, write/proof/edit for website
- Social Media Administrators: Posts updates and photos about events and activities
- Publicity/Newspaper Liaisons/Press Release Writers: Works with publicity and chair and other committee members to determine content for Fireline Ad, writes and provides content and pictures for Fireline Ad to local newspaper, works on design with publisher, writes and distributes press releases about company events, honors, activities, etc., manages list of contacts at local and area newspapers
- Office Administrator: Answers phone, takes messages, greets station visitors, data entry, filing and running reports as needed
- Administrative Committee Chairs: Works with the volunteer company's president to determine goals and priorities for the year, manages job and task descriptions, coordinates sign-up of volunteer administrators for tasks, trains new volunteer administrators, and keeps a pulse on volunteer administrators to ensure volunteer administrators are having their needs met and enjoying their participation
- Social Event Planners, Open House Coordinators, Recruitment Coordinators, Photographers, Chaplains, Grant Writers, In-Station Training Coordinators and many other roles. We’ll work with your skills, interests, and passions and your schedule.

Expectations and Qualifications:
