What
Volunteering as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic is an excellent way to serve our community while gaining invaluable life-saving experience. Purcellville Volunteer Rescue is a non-profit organization established to provide a variety of emergency services to the Town of Purcellville and surrounding area.
Description and duties:
Provides pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services. There are three levels of EMT certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and an additional certification for non-EMS providers. Volunteer members practice at all three levels.
These levels of training are:
- EMT - (BLS level)
- EMT - Intermediate (ALS)
- EMT - Paramedic (Advanced ALS Level)
