The Friendly Visitors program is a new and exciting program at Meals on Wheels, designed to provide companionship and build friendship with a Meals on Wheels client (a homebound elderly adult), experiencing isolation, loneliness, and a lack of social support
A Friendly Visitor (volunteer) will be personally matched with a client based on common hobbies, life experiences, personal preference, and/or distance. The experience is entirely personalized to you!
This is a volunteer opportunity with a very flexible schedule and light weekly time commitment, so perfect for working or studying adults! Friendly Visitors will spend 1-3 hours per week with the client: playing games, chatting over coffee or tea, watching the movies, whatever you and the client would like to do!
