What

Portland Children’s Museum is excited to announce its first annual Building Bridges
Family Music Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22, 2019, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
With major media support from PDX Parent magazine, the Building Bridges Family Music Festival will
be a community-building, tune-filled weekend designed to build bridges in peace and friendship
through music and play. Families from the Portland metropolitan area will converge at the Museum
for a weekend of live music, dancing, and interactive, hands-on experiences. World-class
entertainment from award-winning nationally touring musicians and DJ’s-as well as favorite artists
from Portland’s vibrant children’s music community-will light up indoor and outdoor stages through
the Museum. With dozens of performances and activities, partnerships with community
organizations, and thousands of expected attendees of all ages, the festival is designed to celebrate
music and childhood in a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment.

We are looking for a group of volunteers who can help facilitate the following music inspired activities:

Music City Clay Collaborative
Button and Patches Making Station
DIY Instrument Making

Volunteers could also support our performance stages and help with keeping families safe while they are enjoying music.

Snacks will be provided

Please email [email protected] if you are interested.

It is going to be a amazing event and we hope you can come out to help support!
