Join Riverfront North Partnership for a cleanup along the shoreline of Baxter Trail in Pennypack on the Delaware.
Baxter Trail is open Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 8pm through Labor Day. It's great for runs, walks and bicycle rides! Help us clean up the garbage that has washed along the shorelines of the Pennypack Creek and the Delaware River and see this beautiful trail while it is open this summer. Learn about the Baxter Trail, The East Coast Greenway and The Circuit Trails system.
Running, walking and biking groups are encouraged to run, walk or bike to or from the event and plenty of parking is available as well.
Cleanup supplies including tools, gloves, water and light snacks will be provided!
This volunteer opportunity is eligible to count for school volunteer service hours.
If using GPS, use address 7801 State Road. This will take you to an intersection with an access road (you'll see a big blue sign that says Riverview Homes) near Rhawn street, turn onto that road east into the park towards the river. Follow that access road (pennypack path) for about ½ to ¾ of a mile into the park. (parking and check-in is located near the picnic pavilion near the soccer fields).
