In the 2020 Election, Georgia has become an incredibly close race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, as well as the home of two closely contested and competitive Senate Races (Purdue-Ossoff and Warnock-Loeffler) that could decide who controls the overall Senate (as well as the White House). In Georgia, people who cast their votes but have vote issues with their ballot have until Friday, November 6th to fix their ballot and make their vote count.

As a Ballot Rescue Volunteer you can help make calls and have a major impact in multiple ways:

With the Ballot Rescue Team, you will be directly in contact with Georgia voters to help with issues with their Vote By Mail application or ballot for the November election. We are seeking friendly and eager volunteers who are enthusiastic about safe and accessible voting for all Georgians. This opportunity can be remote or in-person.

The remote option can be completed from the safety of your home and includes recorded trainings and guidance from the Voter Protection Associate, Abbey Meller and the Deputy Director for Ballot Remediation, Alice Huling. You do not have to make calls from your personal number, but you will be asked to use your personal phone and/or laptop. The Ballot Rescue Team will provide you with training, a script to follow, and any support or materials that you need.

We are also looking for volunteers around the state who can help with targeted, in-person outreach to identified voters who need help curing their ballot. This will entail leaving ballot cure literature in mailboxes and in-person conversations with voters where possible. Volunteers will be required to wear a mask at all times.
