About

Taking it to the Streets ministers to the homeless and impoverished of San Antonio and the Hill Country by serving meals, distributing clothing and other basic necessities, and building God-honoring relationships with those we serve.

We serve dinner in a family-style setting in downtown San Antonio to homeless men, women, and children on Saturday evenings RAIN OR SHINE. We have been serving and loving on the impoverished and homeless for 12+ years and have seen this ministry grow and change lives.

Please arrive at 6:15pm for volunteer orientation and set-up. We serve dinner at 7pm and cleaned up by 8:15pm.

We serve from 724 Chestnut Street, which is the gated parking lot of Church Under the Bridge. In inclement weather, we serve under the bridge (Highway).

We want everyone who serves with us to find a job that suits them. Some of these include Food Server,Drinks, Sandwich Maker, Trash, BIBLE STUDY, Clothing Station, Haircuts, ETC. When you arrive, look for the leaders in the light gray Taking it to the Streets t-shirts and they can direct you.
We can’t do it without YOU! Please dress casually and appropriately for the weather.

Registration is NOT required. Only register if you want to prepare the food for the dinner, if you would like to provide a special blessing, or are planning on bringing a group of 5 or more.
Special blessings can be in the form of a special treat, clothing, blankets, reading resources. Family Friendly, Kids welcome
