At The Bike Project, we take second-hand bikes, fix them up and donate them to refugees and asylum-seekers throughout London. Donate a bike and you'll help a refugee access vital support and community.
Most of the bikes donated to us are fixed up in our workshop and given straight to refugees. The rest are sold in our online shop and every penny we make in profits is reinvested back into the project, securing our long-term future.
It’s a nice little cycle… See what we did there?
Here's how to donate a bicycle to The Bike Project:
1. Check if your bike is on the Bike Register (https://www.bikeregister.com/). If it is, transfer ownership to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Click "Get Involved" and fill out the gift aide form
3. Drop your bike off. Attach a label to your bike with your name, contact no, postcode and bike hub printed in capitals. You can find all the dropoff hubs available in London on our website.
Thank you for your support.
This is a flexible activity that can be completed whenever you have enough free time.
