Our mission is to serve seniors in our community and provide the support they need to live a purposeful, meaningful reality. We believe age is only a number and we strive to aid our residents to live strong, be active, maintain their dignity and age successfully.
The Buckingham is a 501C3 senior living community located near the Memorial Neighborhood in Houston Texas. The Buckingham opened it's doors in 2005 and is known for it's premier senior living which includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support and Skilled Nursing. With emphasis on social engagement, physical health, intellectual stimulation and spiritual fulfillment, our organization is recognized as a Center for Successful Aging.
Our residents desire to live with meaning and purpose, be contributing members of the larger community and age successfully. With our growing population, we need your support. We are looking for folks that share our love, dignity and respect for seniors and who are ready and willing to support through volunteering. Options are near limitless and can look like; reading buddies, teaching Spanish classes, offering lectures, help with computer or ipads, play video games, sharing your collections, school science projects, serve ice cream, call bingo, proving music, art appreciation or classes, pet therapy visits or simply sharing a hand to hold when families can't be there.
