Volunteers are needed to assist lower-income women with cancer diagnosis in their homes - providing practical and/or emotional support. A client is matched with a volunteer who will visit her for 2-4 hours per week. Tasks may include: light housekeeping, grocery shopping, emotional support, or other services as needed and previously agreed upon by the volunteer. Volunteers with cars may provide transportaiton to medical appointments or assist clients with errands out in the community.
Strong supervisory support is provided. Attendance at agency training required.
Bi/multi-lingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
This is a flexible activity that can be completed whenever you have enough free time.
