Brightest is a modern, integrated software platform for event management, as well as in-person or virtual (remote) community-building system. We get asked a lot "how does Brightest compare to Meetup?" and the answer we usually give is "it depends" based on your goals and needs.

Brightest includes Meetup's core functionality to create causes, campaigns, groups, clubs, or meetups, publish events and activities to members, and track and measure signups and activities. We also include integrated notifications and communications, including automatic notification of a new event to existing community members, and the ability to communicate with your community via email and text. Brightest also supports hierarchical organizations, local chapters, and sub-groups within an overall organization or brand.

However, we also offer additional tools and capabilities that go beyond Meetup's core offering, including the ability to create custom forms, surveys, intake requests, and signup pages. We also offer custom branding and subdomains for premium partners and accounts. In addition, Brightest is specifically designed to manage all aspects of an organization's event workflow, including shifts, paid event tickets, and other features, whereas Meetup is a more generic community event posting and sharing tool. We also have great search engine optimization (SEO), which can help attract more signups and attendees from channels like Google.

Generally we've designed Brightest to meet a few principles. First, simpler is better. If we can save you time and reduce the number of tools and tabs you use, we're going to to do our best to make it happen. Second, we try to be as flexible as possible: different organizations and people have different types of needs, so we try to make Brightest easy to use, learn, configure, and customize. We're also very friendly and open to integrations, and can integrate with a lot of systems (including some of the ones on the left) directly or via Zapier webhook. Third, we try to be ourselves and be honest: we might not always be the best system for you. We think we have a really great product (we use it ourselves all the time), but ultimately it needs to feel great for you.
