First off, we don't consider Brightest a competitor or alternative to VAN. Instead, we consider ourselves as more of a compliment, particularly if your campaign is focused on building grassroots people-power, activating supporters and volunteers, executed distributed organizing strategies, and/or building coalitions and campaign partnerships. We see VAN as the central campaign system, whereas Brightest is the more flexible, distributed, easier-to-activate (and cheaper) volunteer and people-power system working alongside you.
